so eric and i get home today, and notice that something smells horrific! eric tore apart our closet to find that 4 birds had gotton in the vents in our apt. and died! a mommy and 3 babies! we had heard them in the vent previously and knew they were making a nest, but thought it was in another vent. AND, guess what was covering the vent but my expensive LUGGAGE SET mom and dad got me for graduation! so now, there is bird crap and nasty bird corpse all over my luggage. eric had to clean it up bc i was gagging, so was sierra. i wonder if that sounds familliar to mom and kelli. :) anyways, we told the manager and the owner doesnt want to get screens over the vents to outside, idk why! shall we call him and ask why? maybe mention the fire hazard???? i think we should get rent free for the rest of the year bc of the trauma, and to replace my luggage set! JUST KIDDING!

4 dead birds, 1 mama and 3 babies.

That is not a happy smile, this a "I smile something gross."

Uh...yuck. Poor birdies. So, just curious, but why are YOU cleaning it up? Sounds like your landlord should be. I would be demanding something be done. Oh, and this reminds me of the time Brett and I heard mice late one night in our water heater/furnace closet when we lived at Wyview. Funny story. We'll have to share sometime.

Joy, my neighbors had a similar experiance. We went over o their apartment and she had mentioned that they had birds stuck in her vent. Sometimes they would claw at the wall, it was really creepy. The next day, our neighbor told us they got the birds out of the vent and found 6 birds, two were dead! How the heck do you get 6 birds in one vent? I guess it's that time of the year! Sorry you had to go through that!
